The Coachella Valley Rescue Mission is in dire need of the following food items to feed the hungry this Easter: spiral sliced hams, instant mashed potatoes, butter, canned vegetables, powdered milk, desserts, coffee and coffee creamer.
Also needed are donated Easter baskets for children.
The homeless shelter plans to provide more than 12,500 meals to the hungry and distribute more than 800 Easter baskets to children in need.
Food and Easter basket donations can be dropped off at Doug Motz Insurance at 43-875 Washington St. in Palm Desert or at the Mission at 47-518 Van Buren, Indio.
