Make Mother's Day special this year by treating the important women in your life to fabulous desserts while helping the fight against breast cancer.
During the week leading up to Mother's Day, May 2 - 8, more than 250 restaurants, bakeries, cafes and chocolate shops throughout Massachusetts will participate in Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer, including British Beer Company.
From Monday, May 2, through Mother's Day on Sunday, May 8, the pastry chef at British Beer Company on Providence Highway in Walpole will bake a unique dessert to put on the menu. Desserts start at $3.00 and 100 percent of sales will benefit breast cancer research and care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Just ask your server about it!
Boston Bakes for Breast Cancer was started in 2000 by Carol Brownman Sneider in memory of her mother, Eva Brownman, who lost her battle with breast cancer. Since its inception the event has raised more than $500,000 for breast cancer research and care at Dana-Farber.
