A 22-year-old sweets shop assistant, who was battling for life after hot sugar syrup fell on him from a cauldron in south Delhi early this month, has died, police said Saturday.
'On June 8, Pappu, employed at Bajrang Sweets in Govindpuri area, slipped while carrying a cauldron filled with hot sugar syrup which fell on him,' said a police officer.
'He was rushed to Safdarjung Hospital. He was battling for life and died yesterday (Friday) night,' he added.
Pappu, a resident of Agra in Uttar Pradesh, had been working at the shop since May 24.
