If you really want to make Mom?s day, let her decide where to eat out for a change.


Here are some of the restaurants that will be celebrating Mother?s Day on Sunday:


?Blu City Tavern, 2787 Maplecrest Road, will have a buffet from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will feature prime rib, roast turkey, eggs Benedict, Belgian waffles, smoked salmon, seafood Newberg, potato lasagna, pasta, bacon and sausage, salads and desserts. It?s $23, $11 for kids 10 and younger; ages 2 and younger eat free. For reservations, call 486-9647.


?The Oyster Bar, 1830 S. Calhoun St., will offer a champagne brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with smoked salmon Benedict, eggs and chorizo, omelets, steaks, seafood and chicken, plus complementary mimosas. For reservations, call 744-9490.


?Vince?s, 10460 Maysville Road, will be open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a special menu. Each entree will include soup or house salad, smashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. Entrees include Southern-fried tilapia, teriyaki sirloin, crab-crusted lemon sole, maple-glazed pork loin, roasted garlic filet, seared scallops, grilled chicken, panko-crusted salmon, shrimp and penne pasta, dark-meat chicken and almond-fried shrimp. Prices are $12.99 to $18.99. There is a children?s menu with $4.99 meals. For reservations, call 748-0390.


?Fort Wayne Marriott, 305 E. Washington Center Road, will have a themed ?Springtime in Paris? buffet from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will feature prime rib, coq au vin, turkey, ham, seafood Mornay, ratatouille, French onion soup, seafood station, salads, breads, chocolate mousse, eclairs, peach and raspberry Melba and other desserts. The buffet is $35, $17 for ages 5 to 12 and free for ages 4 and younger. For reservations, call 484-0411, ext. 310.


?The Lucky Moose, 622 E. Dupont Road, will have a seafood buffet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with tilapia, shrimp, catfish, salmon, ribs, chicken, omelets, salad bar and other items. The buffet is $12.95, half-price for kids. For reservations, call 490-5765.


?Hall?s Triangle Park, 3010 Trier Road, will serve brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; the full menu is available until 9 p.m. Order the 10-ounce prime rib with two sides ($14.99) or chicken Nantucket that?s topped with shrimp and broccoli sauce and served with rice pilaf, vegetable and salad ($12.99). Add strawberry shortcake for $1.99. For reservations, call 482-4342.


?Hall?s Tavern at Coventry, 5745 Coventry Lane, will make rosemary pork tenderloin with apricot glaze, au gratin potatoes, green bean casserole and a house salad for $11.99. Call 459-2893 for reservations.


?Hall?s Guesthouse, 1313 W. Washington Center Road, will have two options, including a buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with roast beef, turkey, Tuscan-style chicken, Parmesan-crusted tilapia, a pasta station, salad bar, sides and vegetables and desserts. It?s $24.95, $7.95 for ages 3 to 10. The Grill restaurant will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a buffet of Ossian ham, sirloin, omelet station, bacon and sausage, biscuits and gravy, French toast, Belgian waffles, fresh fruit and desserts. ?Hall?s Factory, 5811 Coldwater Road, will offer its dinner menu from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. It also will feature crab salsa-stuffed salmon with wild rice and spinach ($13.95) and a 6-ounce filet mignon with shrimp scampi ($14.95). Enjoy a cake pop bouquet ($4.95), pomegranate mimosa ($6) and bloody mary ($5). For reservations, call 484-8693.


?Waynedale Bakery, 2610 Lower Huntington Road, is making fruit-basket cakes ($12 and $25), sugar cookies in the shape of tulips, teacups and teapots ($8 a dozen), rhubarb pies ($9) and mini tortes with chocolate ganache ($3). To order, call 747-2992.


?Marko?s on 2nd, 135 S. Second St. in Decatur, will be open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with crab cake eggs Benedict, fried green tomatoes Benedict, omelets (beef tips and blue cheese, ham and smoked gouda, spinach and bacon), creme brulee French toast, biscuits and sausage gravy, quiche, chicken penne pasta, filet, rib-eye and a burger. ?T.W. Fable, 360 N. Main St. in Bluffton, will have a brunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with crepes, quiche, waffles and raspberry brioche French toast, pigs in a blanket, filet with a poached egg and garlic spinach, salads, wraps and fresh-squeezed juices. It also will feature a variety of drinks (bloody mary, Bellini, mimosa, mint julep and margaritas) and desserts. Entree prices are $7 to $18. For reservations, call 260-353-1360.


?The Rittenhouse, 218 S. Main St. in Bluffton, will have a buffet from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with chicken Frangelico, smoked ham, French toast, eggs, sausage, French onion soup, breads, salad bar and desserts, including a version of Tipsy Parson. It?s $16.95. For reservations, call 260-824-8112.


?Clay?s Family Restaurant, 7815 N. Old 27 in Fremont, will have a breakfast buffet from 8 to 11:30 a.m. It?s $7.59 for adults, 70 cents per year of age for children. The dinner buffet will be open noon to 7 p.m. with baked ham, roast beef, fried chicken, potatoes, vegetables and desserts. It?s $12.99, $11.99 for seniors, $1 per year of age for children.


?Amish Acres in Nappanee has a carryout option with baked ham, roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, vegetable, coleslaw, bread with apple butter and pie. The $59.95 meal serves up to five people, while the $99.95 option will feed 10. Orders must be placed by noon Thursday and picked up Friday or Saturday. To order, call 1-800-800-4942.


?Hamilton House, 3950 E. Bellefontaine Road in Hamilton, will be open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Features will include rib-eye steak, rib-eye with shrimp, grouper, charbroiled salmon, beer-battered shrimp and chicken. Prices are $8.99 to $13.99. For reservations, call 260-488-3344.


?Bella Tower Grille, 1005 U.S. 27 South in Berne, will be open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with scrambled eggs, ham and bacon, home fries, biscuits and gravy, breakfast casserole, bread pudding, pancakes, waffles and French toast. The brunch is $8.99. Mom can order a free dessert. For reservations, call 260-589-2316.

Pizza back on menu at Hawkins farm


This week, the Hawkins Family Farm in North Manchester will fire up its outdoor brick oven for the return of ?Fridays on the Farm.?


Enjoy handmade pizzas made from locally sourced ingredients, including tomatoes, basil, pepperoni and sausage that are produced on the Hawkins farm. They also use Swissland Cheese from Berne and flour from Greenfield Mills in Howe.


The menu will change weekly but will typically include a margherita, a meat version and another pizza, while they last.


The 10-inch pizzas ($7 to $10) will be served in carryout boxes. You can eat them picnic-style on the farm, but you must bring your own chairs or blankets, beverages, plates, napkins and garbage bags.


The pizzas will be available 5 to 8 p.m. most Fridays through the summer.

Vince?s offers prom specials


Vince?s, 10460 Maysville Road, is offering a prom dinner special through May.


Each meal is $25, which includes tax and gratuity.


Entree choices are bistro filet, Hawaiian chicken, chicken Alfredo pasta or panko-fried shrimp. Each is served with a salad, soft drink and dessert.

?La Margarita, 2713 S. Calhoun St., will celebrate Cinco de Mayo from Thursday through Sunday with food and drink specials and giveaways. Buy one kid?s meal at $4.79 and get a second one for 5 cents (limit three per party). For information, call 456-5857.


?In May, enjoy $5.95 daily lunch specials – seafood, chicken, pasta or the salad bar – at the Lucky Moose, 622 E. Dupont Road. These are available 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays.


?B. Antonio?s Pizza will offer a chicken ciabatta salad (chicken salad on ciabatta bread with bacon, mozzarella, lettuce and tomato) in May. Or get a 12-inch pizza and a large order of regular breadsticks for $15. To order, call 485-2400 (Chapel Ridge) or 490-9222 (Lima Marketplace).


?Vanilla Bean?s Biscotti & Pastry Boutique, 3410 N. Anthony Blvd., will be open until 6 p.m. Friday for last-minute Mother?s Day shopping but closed on Saturday.
