The Truth About Low Fat Foods - What the Marketers Don't Want You to Know


The shelves of grocery shops all round the world are stuffed with low fat and fat free food items.

A lot of people swear by low fat diets and believe that by simply eating these low fat foods they will lose fat and become slim.

Sounds right?

Actually its wrong.

The weakness in this theory is all to do with the fact that the fat calories that we eat have no bearing or relationship to the amount of fat cells in our bodies.

The fact of the matter is that any type of calories including fat calories can be converted to fat in your body.

For instance, if you think that by eating 2lbs of sugar daily you will not gain any fat since sugar has no fat calories, then you will be proved wrong. You will actually gain fat tissue over a period of time.

Similarly, white rice is also said to be fat free, however if you eat a bowl of rice with each meal, then you will soon put on fat tissue.

That's not all. The stores are full of low fat cookies, cakes and desserts but these foods are actually not healthy just because they have low fat. Do you realize that?

All these foods will make you put on weight if you eat too many of them.

It's an ironic fact that we have all been eating more and more low fat foods over the past 10 years and in spite of that the average person is fatter now than ever before! So what does that tell you about low fat foods?

'Low fat' and 'non fat' are more marketing terms which make you believe that these foods are actually healthy.

The reality is that it's neither the total carbs nor the 'fat' calories that are important.
