The public is invited from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday to experience the beauty of “Springtime at Ananda” along with music, tours, and a tea garden with desserts for sale. Admission is free.
The gardens are open midweek by appointment. Groups are welcome by reservation during the week. The gardens are a non-profit organization and gladly accept donations.
The terraced gardens with views of the middle fork of the Yuba River have been maintained largely by a 40-year volunteer effort of community members.
Every year the garden bursts into a stunning show of color.
Crystal Hermitage is the home of Swami Kriyananda, founder of Ananda Village.
The Gardens were created as a place where people from all walks of life are able to feel uplifted in spirit and a sense of peace.
